10 on Tuesday

Today's "10 on Tuesday" topic is "10 Things That Make Me Cringe":

  1. Listening to my co-teacher talk in her "Mary Poppins" voice.
  2. Phone messages from my son's teacher.(if she's calling, it isn't good!)
  3. Almost any phone conversation with my ex-husband.
  4. Watching anyone brush their teeth. (gross)
  5. Getting paperwork from my son's school about his behavior that typically is the kind of paperwork I send home to parents. (talk about humbling)
  6. Words like "ain't", "I done it", and "I gotta use it."
  7. Having anyone invade my privacy in the bathroom in the morning. (Like, say, my mother standing at the door talking to me about anything and everything when I am trying to get ready for school. Just as a hypothetical.)
  8. Listening to my boys bicker about endless, mindless crap on TV.
  9. Whistling. (I don't know why it bugs me, it just does.)
  10. Rude, ignorant customers at the deli.

Yep, it's a Tuesday. I am definitely PMS-ing. Just stay out of my way.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

J.

We will definitely stay out of your way.

And your son will out-grow his questionable behavior.

This is the first year I HAVEN'T gotten behavior notes sent home on my boy. It's actually kind of weird. Never anything bad, just distracting other kids or reading when he should be paying attention. This year? He seems to have gotten it. What's expected of him.

He does whistle though. All. the. time. I mostly like it, but it does get a little piercing sometimes. I've challenged him to learn the Andy Griffith song.

I averaged a few "conduct reports" (as they called them) a year. I wasn't one of those kids that could manage to behave myself everyday. I do much better at that as an adult.

It seems that nothing makes me cringe. Don't know why.

However, I DO experience an occasional PMS episode. ;-)
