Saturday Six

It's a cold and rainy Saturday, so here's a new Saturday meme I found.
Check it out over here: Saturday Six:

1. What was the first board game you remember playing? Chutes and Ladders.

2. When you last played a crossword puzzle, did you look up any of the answers before you finished? No, but I asked for help on the clues.

3. Did you ever own a Rubik’s Cube? If so, were you ever able to solve it on your own? Yes, I had one when they first came out, and we have one now. I have never been able to solve it.

4. Take the quiz: What Kind of Puzzle Are You?

YOU ARE A CROSSWORD PUZZLE

You are well read, and you have a good head for remembering facts.

You are a wordsmith. You have a way with words, and you're very literate.

You are a mysterious person who enjoys dropping little clues every now and then.

What Kind of Puzzle Are You?

5. You decide to buy yourself a jigsaw puzzle: what kind of image are you most likely to buy: a landscape, an image of an animal, a sports hero, or a shot from a popular movie? Something simple. I like jigsaw puzzles, but I'm not very good at them.

6. Have you ever tried Sudoku? How easy did you find it (or would you think you would find it) to be? I love Sudoku. It both challenges me and relaxes me. But I have never gotten past "medium" in terms of difficulty.

Let me know your answers.
Have a Super Saturday!
J.

As it happens in that quiz I came up as a Rubik's Cube. I haven't done a sudoku for a while, but I did used to do the Daily Telegraph's 'diabolical' ones.

1. First board game - parcheesi with my grandmother.

2. I never look up crossword puzzle words. I do them in pen, so when I mess up, I usually REALLY mess up!

3. Yes, I owned one; no, I never solved it - but my brother could do it everytime!

4. I'm a crossword puzzle.

5. I guess a landscape - but my absolute favorite one of all time was one of a sewing box with the lid open and all the threads and buttons and lace and stuff spilling out.

6. No. It makes no sense to me at all....

6. Yes, it sucks

1-I can't remember the last board game I played.
2- Of course I cheated!
3-I never had one but I tried my friends a few times, I always wanted to smash that evil thing against the wall.
4-Hahaha it said I'm a crossword puzzle
5-An animal, a Wolf if I could find one
6-NO, I've heard of it but have no idea what it is.

1. Checkers

2. When I did them in the past, I occasionally cheated.

3. I owned one. Does taking it apart and putting it back together in the right order count as solving it on your own?

4. Skipped that one (sorry)

5. Landscape

6. I tried once. I can't get the hang of those things.

I’m a Sudoku puzzle! Here’s the best part – I can’t do a Sudoku puzzle either!

5. You decide to buy yourself a jigsaw puzzle: what kind of image are you most likely to buy: a landscape, an image of an animal, a sports hero, or a shot from a popular movie? A waterfront / fishing village landscape.

6. Have you ever tried Sudoku? How easy did you find it (or would you think you would find it) to be? I don’t get it. Not even the elementary puzzles.

1. What was the first board game you remember playing? "Clue" comes to mind.

2. When you last played a crossword puzzle, did you look up any of the answers before you finished? No, but I always had my Crossword Puzzle Dictionary handy.

3. Did you ever own a Rubik’s Cube? If so, were you ever able to solve it on your own? Yes, I believe that I did at one time. I was supposed to solve it?

4. Take the quiz: What Kind of Puzzle Are You? I do not need to take a quiz to know that I am a puzzle with a piece missing. ;-)

5. You decide to buy yourself a jigsaw puzzle: what kind of image are you most likely to buy: a landscape, an image of an animal, a sports hero, or a shot from a popular movie? Any image is a possible choice, provided it appeals to me.

6. Have you ever tried Sudoku? How easy did you find it (or would you think you would find it) to be? No. I checked out Sudoku briefly once. It did not grab my interest.

York - I should have know you were one of those genius's that can do "diabolical". My 16 yr. old daughter can, too. You aren't by any chance left-handed? Rachael and I have a theory about lefties and Sudoku.

Sayre - I completely forgot about parcheesi. It might have been parcheesi with MY grandmother, too! Wow, that brings back memories. I used to love that game! I should have guessed you were a crossword puzzle. You like words as much as I do.

Coffeypot - I suspected you were a crossword puzzle. You love wordplay!

Hooter Honey, I don't have wordplay. I have the WORD. What I say is as serious as an inflamed hemorrhoid on a bicyclist in a race.

Truckindog - You were supposed to tell what board game you remembered as a child, silly. I have felt the same way about a Rubik's cube.

RWA - No, taking one apart doesn't count, but I should have known YOU would do that. Doesn't anyone like Sudoku?

Sexy Trucker - You don't have to cheat at crossword puzzles - you're good at them! You're a sudoku puzzle because you're complicated and hard to figure out! (har, har)

Brother Dave - I like "Clue", too. Using a puzzle dictionary IS cheating. You're supposed to come up with the answers on your own!

Why doesn't ANYONE like Sudoku??

Coffeypot - That's pretty serious. If I rub cream all over you, will you settle down and be less irritating? (hee, hee)

No, I'm most definitely right-handed. Sorry if this ruins your theory.
