I have "friended" some of my former in-laws on Facebook, all people I know and at least like. I have also "friended" some of my nieces and nephews from his side of the family, all young people I genuinely love and care about, as well as one of my sons.
Therefore, I no longer feel comfortable venting about my ex-husband on Facebook. I referred to him as "the idiot" a couple of weeks or so ago, forgetting who all could see what I wrote, and my son and my niece gently chided me about it.
Soooooooooo, I am thankful for this blog.
Because, HERE, I can say:
A. He is an ass.
B. He hasn't got a freakin' clue about how to act like a decent human being.
C. I will continue to attempt to take the high road regardless of how stupid he acts.
D. I refuse to allow him to intimidate me.
AND....
E. If he isn't careful, with all the extra money I'm earning this summer, I will call my lawyer and kick his smarmy ass. Legally, of course.
Thank you for allowing me to vent.
Have a nice weekend.

I don't vent in public about my ex, except the stray comment on a blog post that strikes a chord. I am "friends" with Dawg's ex who he is still friendly with, but as time goes on it's more of a headache than it is an exercise in bonding. sigh.
I really didn't do it that often on Facebook, because I WAS aware that Daniel (my 16 yr. old) is one of my "friends" and I didn't want to hurt his feelings. But now that I am "friends" with my nieces and nephews AND one of his brothers, it's just not politically correct. That's why I love my blog. None of them know about it!

What "legal" issues (if I may ask) are there for which you could go after him?
I love that I keep the blog from all the family and in-laws. They all know that I have one but I told them that I am shy about people actually reading my 'work' (LMAO!! ME...SHY!!) Thankfully they don't give a shit enough to ask further!
I stopped using FB because it was creeping me out. Good thing you still have your blog to vent!
Thank goodness for the blog! Vent all you want here, Honey!
Yeah, I sometimes forget about who can read my comments on FB, too. Oh, I don't rant about my ex (she died in 1986, long after we got over being mad at each other). I am an incurable flirt and I forget that my wife can see my comments. Oh, well, she knows I'm all bark-lol.
