Frenetic Friday

Howdy folks! This is a 2 minute post to let you all know I'm alive. It's just been one of those weeks. Here's a recap:
Monday and Tuesday - Parent/Teacher Conferences at my school until 7:30 each night, Wednesday - Quick Recall match at a different elementary school (which meant transporting kids back and forth), then taking Daniel over to the high school for Freshman registration (!), and last night - after school team meeting for an hour, THEN driving to Bloomington to see Joseph and take him out to eat. I got home at a little after 11!

So, all is well. I've just been busy as hell.

More this weekend.

So what are "Parent/Teacher Conferences" like nowadays?

Sounds frenetic alright. And enjoyable. Most of it. I don't do frenetic well.

I've had a rather hectic one myself...

I got an email from Babygirl's teacher. Does that count as a parent/teacher conference?

Brother Dave - Parent-teacher conferences are pretty much the same as you remember: parents on one side of the table, teacher on the other, report card out. Except nowadays you rarely get both parents, and over 50% won't show - at least in my building. And we have to schedule phone conferences, too.

E.Craig - This is supposed to be the kids' weekend with their dad, which is supposed to mean me having SOME time to myself. But not this weekend. (sigh) Hey, I knew it was a full-time job when I signed on.

Sayre - Hope we both get to catch our breath this weekend.

Sushi - TGIF to you, too!

Metalmom - If you're satisfied, then it's all good. What is important is to keep the lines of communication open, in any form.
