Avitable's Querypalooza......

Happy Tuesday, all! Being the Avitable fan that I am (if you haven't been to his site, seriously, you should. Immediately.).....I am participating in Avitable's "Querypalooza". Here are the rules: Just answer these five questions on your blog, and then come up with five new ones for your readers to answer on their respective blogs, etc. And link back to here (Avitable's).
So here we go with Adam's 5 questions:

1. Out of all of the posts you've written, which is your favorite and why? I looked through my list, and saw a lot of good ones. It's funny but it seems like the ones that get the most comments are the ones when my love life was falling apart! Yikes! But I finally decided: my favorite post is this one. It's the one I wrote about my ex-husband Larry, who died last month of cancer. Hands down, it's my favorite.

2. Out of all of the posts I've written that you've read, which is your favorite and why? Of all of Avitable's posts, it's a tossup between "A Letter to My Body" and "Dancing Avitable". I love the dancing one. But you can't beat that picture. I will never forget it.

3. Which do you find the most frightening and why? A radically fundamentalist Christian, a moderate Muslim, a pretentious atheist, or a Scientologist? Frightening? A Scientologist. They're just too extreme. Atheists drive me crazy.

4. Rather than discuss the typical characteristics of someone you'd desire (sense of humor, good body, etc.), I'm going to focus on the little details. Rank them in order of preference, with #7 being the one you consider more important than the others and #1 being the one you consider the least important:
1. Good fashion sense,
2. Ability to dance well,
3. Encyclopedic knowledge,
4. Odorless feet,
5. Quick-wittedness,
6. Even tempered nature, and
7. Likes the same music, movies, and/or television

From most important to least....#7, #6, #3, #5, #4, #2, and #1.

5. If you were going to be trapped on a remote island for the rest of your life with one other person, which would you choose and why?
A. Your spouse or s.o.
B. Your celebrity crush
C. Your best friend
D. MacGyver
E. One of your parents or children

Oh, A. for sure. I could never give up sex! (grin) But Steven wants to know can he bring his truck, too?

Okay, now for my 5 questions:

1. What is your favorite quality about yourself?

2. What is your favorite quality about me? (hee, hee)

3. Name a blog that you visit every day (and no, whether you do or not, you don't have to say my blog. Tell me a new one you would recommend).

4. Which of the following makes you the happiest, and why?

A. Writing on your blog.

B. Reading blogs.

C. Watching TV.

D. Watching movies.

5. What's one of the worst lies you ever told, and why did you tell it?
So, let me know if you pass it on, or at least leave me your answers in my comments.
J.

If you haven't already read them, I commend to you the philosophical works of David Hume. I should think a "radically fundamentalist" anything should be the most frightening, for they are the ones who blow things up.

Those are pretty tough questions you've set.

Nicely done! Here are my answers to your new questions:

1. My sense of humor
2. Your sense of humor!
3. Blogography.com
4. D. Watching Movies
5. I lie all the time, so I don't consider them to be necessarily bad.

have been a lurker on here for a while, thought I'd delurk with this post. Heres the answer to your questions
1. My favorite quality about myself is my loyalty to my friends. I would be willing to do anything for them.
2. I like that your honest on your blog. Its refreshing.
3. I read a few everyday, but www.dutchblitz.net and kickyboots.com are ones I check every day.
4. Tie between reading blogs and watching tv cause I do them at the same time, as my afterschool wind down. I am a teacher like you. I need my downtime after work.
5. I'm not sure if I've really told a big lie to anyone. I did tell myself a lie, thinking that a boy who was pursueing my was worth it, even though i knew in my heart he already had a girlfried. Why did I do it? For lack of ideas, that was a really really hard time in my life, and I think I was looking for validation. Seems stupid now, but thats the only reason I can think.

Well this is a novel. I'll run now.
Great blog!

1. Honesty
2. Your ability to bounce back no matter what.
3. MamaDrama (you'll have to go to my blogroll - I don't know the address)
4. In order (A, B, D, C)
5. I love you. Because I couldn't hurt my granddaughter's feelings. It is a hard admission, but I don't like that child. I am praying that my feelings change because I think my husband wants to pursue custody of her because her parents are idiots and while not abusive, she's having one troubled childhood. I think most of my dislike is directed at her parents and it's just rubbing off on her - I actually hope that's the case, but she needs love so much, love I don't feel - but I tell her that I do.

Gee. Now I have to go scoop up all the guts I spilled and put them back in. Yuck.

C.Flake - Thanks. I will check your blog next.

York - I can see your point about fundamentalists. Isn't the question about what you like about me the easiest? (grin)

Avitable - That is a high compliment, coming from the Master himself.

Corky - Thanks for the "new" link, Corky! I DO appreciate the "big heart" compliment. I try.

R.E.H. - The BEST thing you can say about me is that I "comment nicely" on your blog?! Sheesh! What about my stunning good looks? (laugh)

Lindsay - Thanks for de-lurking. It's always fun to commiserate with another teacher! Please, comment again soon. I will check out your blog, and the ones you recommended.

Sayre - Thanks, girlfriend. And you can "spill your guts" here anytime. Lord knows I do! (laugh)
