Looking into the Past......

You know you've found a great blog when you totally steal her posts. All of this came straight from Fleur-de-Lisa:

First off, my past life:

Your past life diagnosis:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know how you feel about it, but you were female in your last earthly incarnation. You were born somewhere in the territory of modern Israel around the year 1350. Your profession was that of a artist, magician or fortune teller.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your brief psychological profile in your past life:
As a natural talent in psychology, you knew how to use your opportunities. Cold-blooded and calm in any situation.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The lesson that your last past life brought to your present incarnation:
Your task is to learn, to love and to trust the universe. You are bound to think, study, reflect, and to develop inner wisdom.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you remember now?

Okay, I don't believe in past lives, and this one is dead-wrong about me. But it's always fun to play.

SHORT MEME:

Who is the one person with whom you are acquainted that you feel is building up the worst karma? Why?
It's a dead-even tie between my ex-husband and Baron's ex-wife. My ex-husband made some horrible choices for years and years, and although he seems to have stopped most of his self-indulgent habits (sleeping around, lying, cheating), at the same time I see no evidence that he is attempting to make any kind of retribution for the sins he committed with regard to me or my children. You can't just pretend it all never happened. Baron's ex-wife, on the other hand, is riding high on the trump cards she currently holds, but what goes around, comes around, as they say. If I were her I would be incredibly cautious of fate waiting to kick me in the butt.

What would you like to discover? Would you sell it, or let it be available for free?
I would like to discover a cure for AIDS. And although I would love to be insanely wealthy, of course I would give it away.

Think back on the choices you have made in your life. Which one would you never want to have to make again?
Oh wow, unfortunately, I can think of a couple. But I can't really write about them here. I guess the one mistake I made that I can write about here is how I behaved the first couple of years after my divorce. First I hid from the world for almost a year and cried a lot, then I partied, then I married the first man I fell in love with. Not exactly a stable role model for my kids. I'm glad I hung back for a year, just to give me some balance, and in retrospect I'm glad I got the "party girl" out of my system. But I wish I have been a little more self-confident and exhibited a little more wisdom. But it all shook out in the end. And so far none of my kids are in therapy.

Thanks for the great ideas, Lisa.
Happy Tuesday, all.
J.

Oh no! Your ex is one of those pretend-it-never-happened guys too. Sounds like we have almost the same ex. LOL

I'm not real sure about all this "past life" stuff either.

There are a lot of things that I would like to pretend never happened. Mostly because there is nothing that can be done about it now.

I'd have to invent the Remarkable See Clear. Basically, they are glasses that you wear and suddenly be able to see through all the BS our great political leaders push onto us. I'd have to charge something for each one since Congress would probably regulate them and tax them. ;)

Have a great week.

You sound like a good mom despite your personnel trials and tribulations. We all go through stuff like that! I think your kids will always understand and appreciate your love for them.
