BRIDGE OUT! (But mostly a meme)

Hello all you crazy people out there in Bloggerland. I had really planned to write a long, gripey post about a stupid barge which managed to bang itself into one of only two bridges crossing the Ohio River from Southern Indiana to Louisville this morning, causing said bridge TO BE CLOSED from 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM (read here: rush hour), causing ME to be late to work, since it took me 1 1/2 hours to go to THE ONLY OTHER BRIDGE (along with oh...approximately 2 bazillion other commuters) for what is usually only a 25 minute drive.

But, as you can see from the above paragraph, I am clearly OVER my disgruntledness with the IDIOT who plowed a barge into the base of the bridge this morning and started my day off the wrong way. I mean, how could I be mad at someone who couldn't steer something as big as a barge through an opening as big as 3 or 4 school buses between 2 massive concrete pillars, which were obviously right there and so obviously somthing you would want to MISS?
(BTW, I couldn't find a picture of this morning's crash, but the above picture is when another brilliant barge operator crashed his barge into the railroad bridge crossing the Ohio in Louisville and SUNK IT in 2006! It was, incidentally, loaded with bags of powdered concrete mix. Yeah -it took them a LONG time to get that sucker out of the river!)

So, I chose instead to do the fun meme I found over at Tense Teacher's on SuperBowl Sunday. I am grouchy and I intend to go to bed and have a long, cozy chat with the man I love.

So the barge incident was not the first.

Must be trickier than it sounds since it has happened before.

Those damn barges!

Embellishments of the skin make me seriously ill!

Jewelry should be banished forever. Especially since it's become so pricey!

I give my vote to body piercings. The kind that truely says you are wedded to someone.

Why is it that women focus on the esoterical stuff?

Why are they never happy with us guys?

Barge navigation is tricky business .. just ask any bridge. And I say, "better late than never." Most of the time. ;-)

ps - Anonymous needs a med adjustment.

My meds have been adjusted!
Instead of saying "seriously ill", I should have stated that embellishments make me quite nervous.

I also should have finished the last sentence with the words-happy with us guys who prefer the very simple forms of expression/embellishments?

I guess in retrospect the comment I posted was quite inane, and for that I apologize for making said post!
Mea Culpa.

Why in the world would anyone wear a bra to bed?

Brother Dave - Oh sure...take the barge's side. I don't care if it's tough or not. If you're going to steer a barge on the Ohio, you're gonna have to deal with bridges! Learn to dodge 'em, or stay off the river, I say!

Anonymous - No body piercings. Sorry.

E.Craig - He needed an attitude adjustment that day. And don't you start taking the barge's side, too. That won't float with me! "won't float"! Ha, ha! I made a funny!

Anonymous - Don't worry. I knew where your comments were coming from that night. I hate that "embellishments" make you nervous. Guys who get nervous make ME nervous. You're still cute! (kiss)

T-dog - Girly-girl? Um...dude...I AM a girl. If I drank like a guy, I might start acting like YOU! (ha, ha)

Lisa - Thank you for actually READING the meme answers. You are apparently the only one to do so. I LOVE cinnamon toast. Love it.

I love cinnamon toast as well. I have stolen your meme for my blog and am dividing it up into lots of little posts. It gives me more time to get it all done. lol. By the way, I am Sushiboy's sister. Love your blog.
