Mid-America Truck Show

Hey there everyone....it's Tuesday again. I usually do "Ten on Tuesday", but this week I'm not going to do a list. Instead I'm going to write about the Mid-America Truck Show. Steven and I went on Friday and it was really fun! This first picture shows me in the truck of my dreams - it was so beautiful. It was only $50,000 - can you believe Steven wouldn't get it for me? Yeah, me neither.

We walked and walked all over the truck showroom. You wouldn't believe these beautiful trucks. I wish I had taken a picture of one we saw: it had a shower, a refrigerator, a table with bench seats, and a bed. It was like an apartment on wheels! I tried to talk Steven into selling everything and us living on the road in that truck! This picture is of a new cool truck (I can't remember what dealer) that one of the men at the show said looks like Optimus Prime from the Transformer movie.

This is, obviously, me and Steven in front of one of the cool new Volvo trucks. I really did love walking around with him, looking at everything and collecting pins from the dealers. I ended up with about 15 of them, as well as a Detroit Diesel t-shirt and a pink Detroit Diesel hat that I won!

After walking and walking, and eating, and shopping, and having lunch with two of the Hooters calendar girls (picture to come, E.Craig), we capped off the evening with a concert. It was one of my favorite groups, Sugarland. We had a total blast, and I even got tipsy on 3/4 of a beer (don't laugh!).

All in all, it was a great time!

That looks like GREAT fun. Never knew such a show existed. You'll have to post a pic of you wearing your "Detroit Diesel" gear, J.

Now about them Hooters Girls .. I wanna see lots of butt & leg. ;-)

Hooter Calendar Girls! I can't wait for those pictures (sure hope that wasn't your idea of an April Fool's Joke).

Fifty Grand? Is he cheap? That's nothing! ;)

Aww gee. And here I was thinking he was a real catch! You better promise some mighty hot stuff so he'll buy it for you! :hehe:

Sayre - I know. He's just selfish that way. Wants all his money for silly stuff like bills and fuel. Hmmph.

Craig - Put your tongue back in your mouth. I promise I will get that picture up later today.

R.E.H. - No joke. It really happened.

Tookie - Maybe THAT'S my problem - I already gave him all the hot stuff! I should have held something back to negotiate with.

RWA - It wasn't as great as all that. They just sat down at our table in the very-crowded food court and we started talking to them. They were very nice. You notice what got the most attention in that whole post? THREE comments about the damn Hooter girls!

J,
I told you I would be more than happy to buy you the dream pickup. All you have to do is get me the truck I want. Hee hee.

Yeah. Lunch at the show was good. J on my left, hooter girls on my right. The only thing that topped that was seeing J dance in the aisle - well her seat, at the concert.
I was really happy that she had a good time.
