Manic Monday

Okay, folks....I answered a 45 question meme yesterday and I got 2, count 'em, TWO comments. See if I put in the time on something like THAT again. So, let's see if a simple 3 question list does any better. Here are the "Manic Monday" questions for this week:

  1. What's your favorite thing to spend money on? Practical: clothes. Frivolous: Movies and music. I LOVE to browse the Entertainment department of any store.

  2. If you could retire tomorrow what would you do? First, I would catch up on everything. I would clean out the basement, organize my bills and my budget, clean every corner of the house, and straighten out my messy bedroom. THEN, I would volunteer at a school, to help teach reading. I would go to the gym regularly, and I would enjoy my kids.

  3. Should anything be censored and if so, what and why? Honestly, I think TV shows and music should be screened more carefully. Some of it is just so trashy and horrible, and small children are seeing and hearing it.

Happy Monday!

I don't believe in censorship. I believe in parental control and freedom of choice.

1-So many things come to mind
movies, food, Guns to name a few.

2-I would move to the mountains where my nearest neighbor was no closer than 3 miles and try to live out the rest of my days oblivios to the crap going on in the rest of the world.

3-Rap "music" should never ever have been commercialy produced EVER, other than that I'm with coffeypot.

I pretty much can't think of any good reason to allow censorship.

What's your favorite thing to spend money on? - Things computer related.

If you could retire tomorrow what would you do? - No matter what I started with would surely evolve to something else.

Should anything be censored and if so, what and why? - There are programs whose language is routinely such that parental controls can answer this concern.

Most of the undesirable language seems gratuitous. I cannot see that it adds to the story or to any character. It seems to only be getting worse.

I second what coffeypot said-- parental control, all the way. I know what my son watches and what I approve of. We have the freedom of choices as intelligent adults to pick and choose what is best for our children and for us.

Thanks for playing MM this week. Wasn't that much easier than 45 questions? :)

Hmm. Parental controls? Oh yeah!

#1. Fuel
#2. Buy Fuel
#3. The friggin fuel prices!

I'm dieing out here because of fuel prices. Censorship is the least of my concerns for now.

Brother Dave - I should have known your answer to #1 would be computer-related!

Lisa - Yes, it was MUCH easier than 45 questions! Thanks!

Silly Trucker - I am starting to see a pattern here.....(grin).

Anonymous - Amen is right.

As for censorship, the society should help to protect our children who have no adult to apply parental control. The parents are not there for them in this matter.

The intelligent thing to do is apply a reasonable standard.

I pity the person who feels that entertainment is heightened by repeated expletives in a program's dialog.
