Manic Monday

Manic Monday....AGAIN:

How did you celebrate your last birthday? Gosh, I'm sorry to say I don't really remember. I don't think it was all that great this past year. Hopefully this year's birthday will be better.

What's the last thing you bought yourself, just for fun? A hardbacked copy of John Grisham's latest novel. I usually wait for the paperback to come out, but I love John Grisham and I really wanted to read it.

What would the child you once were think of the adult you have become? Well, when I was a kid, I idolized all my teachers, especially the fun ones. I think "me" as a child would think I'm fun. Now...at home, I hated my mom for making me do chores and "me" as an adult is totally into having the kids do chores, so I might not like "me" as a mom. Who knows? Maybe you should ask my daughter. She's a lot like me.

Hope everyone had a good weekend, and a decent Monday. Today was my first day of my "new" job, and it went pretty well. More later.

J.

First time to visit your MM.

I don't usually remember my birthdays either! Was that book good? I love JG too.

Happy Monday!

J was in an excellent mood today! No doubt because of the positive changes at work.
Or, it was because of her wonderful dinner company? Hee Hee.

I think the work change was definately for the +++++! I can't remember the last cheerful conversation we've had, after getting off work.

Tippin my hat at cha Angel Eyes.

#1. I dont do my own B-Day. It's a day I would rather forget.
2.
Some movies for the road. (I've never bought movies for myself!)
3.
I think the child would be disappointed. I always dreamed of being a pilot and having a wallet full of $$ and living in a big house, on a hill.

XXXOOO, luv ya sweets.

I don't know why I remember my birthdays. I guess it's because I have a good memory. I hope this year's birthday is more memorable for you. :)

Thanks for playing MM, J. I hope the new job goes well.

Birthdays aren't as much fun now that they don't end with me completely passed out and an empty bottle of tequila lying on the floor next to me. ;-)

I think the child me would like the adult me as well... but, maybe we all think like that - because if we didn't we would not be happy with who we are, right?

Chores are never fun - that's why we pass them on to others if possible ;)

My child self would be amazed at how I turned out. I was raised with low expectations and self-esteem. So, to be as successful as I have been surprises even my adult self, when it comes out.

Trukindog - Thanks for your comment on my job. Your last birthday sounds as exciting as mine.

Tommie - Thanks for stopping by. Yes, it was good, but it didn't end like I thought it would.

Sexy Trucker - TWO days in a row in a good mood...although today's good mood is partly because YOU'RE here again! Smooches to you, too.

PS. Does this mean I don't get to have fun on your birthday? Your mom and I already have a joint present planned.

Brother Dave - I will be telling more about my job soon, I promise.

Lisa - I think YOU remember your birthdays because it seems like you always have good ones. (smile)

Jay - What? Now it's scotch?

R.E.H. - My philosophy on chores around here is: there are 5 of us living here. Why should only one of us (me) have all the fun? I like to share!

Coffeypot - You're an adult? Really?
