Valentine's Day came early this year! Since Steven was in town this weekend, and we didn't know if he would be able to be here on Thursday, we had our "Valentine's Day" on Sunday
First, here is Steven with my gifts to him: a silly ape with boxers on that says "Oh baby!" and a 2 quart Stanley thermos (that will keep a lot of hot coffee in the truck). The stuffed animal made him laugh and he genuinely loved the thermos (his has a leak!).
Not exactly part of my gift, but definitely a bonus: Steven makes dinner! Delicious!
The "light and fluffy" part of my gift: a mini-cookie cake for me, with "I love you" on it. It was really good.
AND NOW.....the very best part......
A beautiful diamond heart necklace from Friedman's Jewelry! I can't even begin to tell you how happy and stunned I was when we went shopping on Sunday afternoon and this was what was chosen. I have never been given a more beautiful or expensive necklace in my life! I couldn't stop smiling, and for at least the first 10 minutes I could hardly speak! With only the exception of the day Aaron was born, this was the best Valentine's Day ever!
So, the romantic side of Valentine's Day is complete - except for the envelope I found by my bed this morning that says "Do not open until 2/14" - but the romance has just begun.
And yes, it was WAY better than an I-pod!

Holy cow, woman! Do you think this guy LIKES you????? **wink**
I know what is in the envelop. It's a bill for the neckless. See, he'll be out of town when you open it, so he's safe. See?
I like the way you think coffeepot!
Yes folks; Ron White had it right, about the humor anyway. Diamonds really do take their breath away.
J was absolutely speechless/ breathless! There was an moment that I thought she was going to pass out. Luckily there were some tables with chairs nearby.
I Love you J.
See ya soon - hopefully!
Oh, I'm glad you told me that you weren't going to show this to anyone!
PS; I feel very studly walking around with the biggest thermos on the block!
And, perhaps with a monkey on my back.
J knows how to make me feel like "the man".
Thanks Babe. Totally awesome gifts.
Way, totally awesome gifts!
Love Ya; me!
Well, maybe better than an iPod Nano, but better than an iPod Touch? I don't know. Those Touches are pretty darn cool. ;-)
The best Valentine's Day present is someone who cares - but diamonds from someone who cares is even better!!
That's how we see it in Australia!
Fantastic!
Steven is so way cool.
Awesome Valentine's gifts. Too bad you can't be together on the 14th.
Sayre - He is one of the most generous men I have ever known. And I KNOW he likes me - he LOVES me!
Coffeypot - Just because that's what YOU would do, you old meanie! (grin)
Sexy Trucker - I never said I wasn't going to do a blog post about it....(grin) And how did you expect me to keep such a beautiful gift quiet? I'm glad you like your presents. I was pretty proud of that thermos. I love you!
Jay - You know it has to be good if I can say it's better than an Ipod....I have been wanting an Ipod for so long....
David - I am not a "high maintenance" woman....a card and a flower will do it for me. But if the man wants to buy me diamonds, who am I to stop him?
Brother Dave - I couldn't wait to show this to YOU!
R.E.H. - Well, there's still a chance...we just couldn't be SURE.

That Steven MAY just be a keeper. I don't think men who are faking relationships buy diamonds. Right?
Craig - Yeah, I think I'll keep him. He had better not be faking....'cause it's VERY expensive....and dangerous! (growling!)
J.
