Missin' my guy.....

Ah, the days after......

It is always hard after Steven leaves. I get so used to have him around. We are very comfortable together. It's like I've known him all my life, not just for 3 months. And then all of a sudden he is far away. And he's tired and I can't help. And I'm tired and want to go to sleep, but I want to talk to him, too.

It has been a long week at school. I had a meeting with someone from the district office over an incident from way back in November.....my kids are tired and acting up....my assistant is tired....I'm tired. The fun never ends.

My parents left today for a short vacation in Florida, which means I am without taxi drivers and babysitters until next Tuesday. But they deserve a break from the grandchildren routine.

Yeah, I'm missing my guy. I hope he gets a load back through here as soon as possible.

Oh, to be going to bed with him beside me, his warm arm around my waist.....

I didn't read the post, but based on the title, I assume it is about me...

=)

Birdman - Of course, sweetie. But how can I be missing you when I never SEE you? New Jersey is just too far!

Hang in there. I'm sure work will get better, and Steven will be back soon.

Being a trucking widow has to be hard on a woman emotionally. Think about the military women whose husbands are gone six months to a year or more. At least you have the kids to keep you company and you can see Steven every now and then. Just get a big pillow to snuggle into while he is gone. He’ll be back soon enough with a load for you, too.

A Trucking Widow?
I'm not dead - yet!
I concur with the military families comment. Their's is not an easy life.

In the Navy when the fleet went to Japan, which is know as the WestPac - for Western Pacific - the wives and girlfriends left behind in the States were know as WestPac Widows. When a term like trucking or golfing are used in conjunction with widow, you don’t have to be dead. Just available to those left behind.

RWA - There is a chance he will be back this weekend, which would be terrific!

Coffeypot - Pillows and kids are no comparison to a sexy warm man! I never thought of myself as a "trucker widow", but I guess you're right.

Anonymous - Oh no, baby, you are very much alive. Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog. XXOO

Coffeypot - He knew what you meant. In fact, it made him laugh.

Hootergirl J, was anonymous Steven? If so, hey, dude. If not, who was it?

Jodi said...

Coffeypot - Yes, "anonymous" is none other than my Steven. He has been reading my blog for awhile now, but today he was finally bored enough waiting to load that he left a comment.

Hey now. I think I've been here maybe four times.
I actually try to stay away since this isn't my cup of, o-well, coffee!
But, you're right about the boredom thing. I reckon that perusing this blog thingy will help to "kill" some time and remind me of just how special Hoosier Girl is to me, and everyone else here.
