These churches are still standing and look exactly as they did back then.
This is the high school my father went to, because it was the only one in the county! It is the high school my children would go to, had they gone to public school. It is much, much larger now, and you can no longer see where the original part of the building was.
This bridge is known as "the train bridge". It has been closed to vehicle traffic since I was in high school, so now only trains cross it.

Good for you, J. I was dissapointed that Montgomery County, where Dayton is located, was not represented.
I like your collection of postcards. I think that I crossed the train bridge a long time ago. This was rather frightening; but then, I am weird and a little afraid of bridges.

My sister, brother, and I grew up in Dayton, Ohio. It was nice to go back to a time that has been preserved only in pictures. Some great memories and a strong dose of nostalgia.
Speaking of New Albany, did you watch Sat. night's "48 Hours Mystery" on CBS? It was all about David Camm - the ex-cop from there who allegedy murdered his wife and two kids back around 2000. It was good. Not sure what I believe about the case, but interesting, nonetheless. I'm sure if you live there, you might be pretty tired of hearing about it.
