SPRING BREAK!!!!!!

Yahoo!!!
It's Day 2 of my spring break and, God, it is good to be off!!! Yesterday, after getting the kids off to school (snicker), I went back to sleep for awhile, played on the computer for hours, and paid some bills. Didn't put any "real" clothes on until about 2 (and no, I was not lounging around naked. Get your mind out of the gutter! I meant I was in my sleep pants and a t-shirt). Then I went to pick the kids up from school, ordered pizza for everyone, and hung out with the kids at home for the rest of the evening. We had time for homework, baths, AND a movie. It was great!

Today has been slightly more active but not much. I had my taxes done (yes, a refund is on the way!) then headed over to school for a couple of hours to get a jump on packing. My school is getting all new heating and cooling this summer, as well as an elevator (like I'll get to use it!), so every classroom on the bottom floor has to be completely boxed up for the summer. After working there for 2 hours, I went to get my hair trimmed. Very relaxing. I'm growing it longer, but the bangs were in my eyes again, so I needed a trim. Then I picked the boys up from school, stopped at the local ice cream place for milkshakes, ran to the grocery for dinner food, and now we're home again. I'm headed out later for some grown-up company! Can you say "stress relief"? Ahhhhh.....

Tomorrow will be more school work and lunch with my parents. Thursday is my day to help at Aaron's school and have lunch with him and Daniel. Thursday night is a visit to the high school to order Rachael's class ring. Friday I am heading down 65 South to Upton, Kentucky, for some time with the ex-husband I like: Larry. I haven't seen him since Christmas and I want to hang out with him a bit, especially right now while his cancer is in remission and he feels like going out and doing things. He's been so good about listening to all my woes lately, I want to take him out to lunch as a "thank you". Friday evening is Aaron's first "big kid" sleepover at a friend's house, and while he's away, I think I'll hit the coffee shops on Bardtown Rd. with friends. Saturday night I may be having dinner with a friend (wink). We'll see on that one.

Anyway, I am really enjoying all this time. Not that my house reflects it. I am still behind on housework and projects, but then again no one ever died, went to heaven, and said "I wish I'd done more housework!!".

Happy Tuesday!!!
J.

I, much like you, can't wait for summer so that I don't have to get up and be anywhere but home.

Different SB than the kids? SCORE!! Our SB seems likes months ago now. Relax, enjoy yourself.

You're pretty busy for spring break. I would put all that off for some other time and just relax. ;-)

I always use time off for home improvement or cleaning - I cannot seem to relax. It's only when I HAVE to do stuff that the rebellious streak kicks in and says I need a bubble bath.

I"m working on your questions. I think we might be near the end of this particular meme as I've seen it all over the place. I only got three requests for interview rather than five. And one of them is my brother. I'm going to have to come up with some that aren't too intrusive for him because I know WAY more than he's putting in his blog!

Sounds like a pretty busy schedule for a spring "break" - but it also sounds like you're enjoying it.

Have fun!

Sounds like you have got every minute planned out. Try to get some rest in between. Be safe on the roads.
