Count to 10 REAL SLOW.......

I am having a meltdown. I am stressed and panicked. Here's why:

1. I am getting a new student tomorrow who apparently is quite a handful. Great. As if my room wasn't rockin' enough as it is.

2. There is less than a month until Christmas and I have bought nothing. Stress!

3. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to pull off Christmas this year. I have no credit cards and a little savings. I only have 1 extra paycheck. I think it will work. I hope it will.

4. I have no money until Wednesday, and we're out of cereal. Zero. Zip. Nada. I guess I'll be making eggs or muffins in the morning.

5. I feel like I owe the world money. If I owe you money, get in the back of the line. WAY in the back.

6. My own children are behaving like idiots tonight.

7. My ex is being absolutely horrible. Of course, he always is.

8. There is a huge pile of laundry waiting to be folded, put away, given away, something, and I never have time to get to it.

9. I thought I had gotten rid of the fleas on the cats. Apparently not. More expensive products and/or an exterminator. Less Christmas money.

10. The shower is broken. We can still take baths, but not showers, until I PAY A PLUMBER. Even less Christmas money. (He'll be stopping by after the exterminator) This is not a good thing in a house with 5 people and 1 bathroom.

Okay, I'm done with my meltdown. Thank you for listening.

J.

Sorry that you're having a rough time. I think we all owe the world money at this point. I think it's time for some us to sit down to It's a Wonderful Life. That Donna Reed always cheers me up.

I feel you about the money issues. We are there too. I don't know how we can possibly do Christmas and still pay our regular bills, which somehow seem to go up a little more every month. Just know I am stressing with you. Hang in there, it has to get better. Right? BTW, A Charlie Brown Christmas comes on Tuesday night.

Easy!

Jas has your solution! I am yo' man!

Okay here it is: Sit down and relax, have the kids fold the laundry and put it away nicely, then have your ex fix the shower and de-flea the cats or you'll forfiet Christmas for EVERYBODY!

If they actually do the chores you ask, give everyone stocking stuffers in leu of big items.

Whadda you think? Remember, Santa's looking for good li'l children.

You all are so sweet. It's nice to know that people care, even people I've never met! (grin)
I appreciate your kind words.
I am better now.

Hoosier, I hear your pain. I'm hitting Craig's list again for some cash. Slowly my supply of woodworking machines are going into the wind. But, there is a roof and a house; cats show affection even when kids don't; eggs are better for you than cereal; Santa encourages some kids to learn valuable skills such as folding; and poorly folded clothes can fit in the same drawers as well-folded clothes.

(Not 1-upping, but non-ed-trained wife is in day 2 with autistic/ed kid. Yesterday he actually launched a trampoline across the room OVER her head. At least you have the training? *weak grin*)

Have patience. It will improve.
