Back to school....

This isn't a student, it's a teacher! har, har.

I spend another 4 hours at school today and I finally got my room in order. I haven't done my bulletin boards or put up any posters, but I can do those things fairly quickly. It's the unpacking of at least 20 boxes of STUFF, and deciding where everything goes that has taken so long. But at least NOW I know where everything is. My classroom is more organized right now than my house.

For the next 2 days I have a Reading Training. Rotten timing, but this was the only time it would work with my schedule. The good news is, the kids came home this evening. I have missed them so much. I DO love having some time to myself, but it's so good to have them home.

Anyway, this isn't much of a post, but that's the way it is these days. I'm hanging in there.

Well, usually I don't have to pack and unpack every year...but this year not only did my principal play "musical chairs" with who was in which classroom, but I changed positions, so I inherited a lot of "legacy junk" to weed through. But it's done now.

I want to do your bulletin board. When I was in school I was always the teachers pet and got to help with the bulletin board. I miss that about school.

Thanks for bringing that back to my head. I would always spend about 4 hours staring at my room waiting for inspiration for the next great room setup. Yeah, it was almost always the same old room, but even after 12 years, I managed to find yet another way to cram 30 desks, reading table, reading area, moveable book shelves, 4-6 computers, teacher desk, writer's station, and a place for student 'crap'. Funny how create teachers can get. I always like the start of school for this reason. Well, that and because it is the only time the floors look clean! :)

'Wife' is not only going to have to set up her class, but is moving everything to the 2nd floor of a brand new school. Not really feeling the urge to bust my ass to help her move this year. But I am excited for her new opportunities and fresh start.
