Ramblings

Last night I had a terrible dream. I won't go into details, but suffice to say it was upsetting enough to warrant a 4:30 AM phone call to Steven. I was beside myself - the dream was so real. So after I cried and we talked and I finally calmed down, we hung up. Of course, once my bladder realized I was awake, I HAD to go to the bathroom. I blame it on way too many years of getting up in the night with a baby or toddler. But I couldn't go back to sleep.

So, what does a woman awake in the very early hours of the morning do? Laundry, of course! Let me just say that I don't recommend going down to the basement in bare feet. But hey....my work clothes will be dry by the time I wake up for real AND I have a load of sheets half-way done. Then I had a bowl of cereal. Moustache, our kitten, was delighted to have me up. He looked at me as if to say, "hey, what are YOU doing up? You wanna play?". He followed me around the basement and then settled next to me on the couch, while I browsed Yahoo! news. It's strange the variety of trivia we will read if given the opportunity. I read about the reduction of adoptions of children from China, looked at a photo essay of Michelle Obama and her girls, and read about the latest on Michael Vick. Incidentally, I have to say that I think Obama's daughters are adorable. Just sayin'.

So now it's an hour later. The nightmare is fading away, I'm getting sleepy, and I still have time to catch about 45 minutes of rest. I have a lot to write about my new part-time job and my new obsession with my pedometer. But those posts are for another day.

Sweet dreams.

I hate those vivid as life itself dreams.
I've had some where I woke up swinging fists because I thought someone was in my truck.
It's all good my Love.

Now. You have the smallest bladder humanly possible.
I know because I had to do the stopping to let you out! Your bladder is on guard duty!!!
Life is good: A bowl of cereal, a open laptop, a cozy kitten.
Life is very good.
smile.

Awww bless your heart! I hate dreams like that! I had a nightmare of a plane crash once and 6 months later a plane crashed in the neighborhood nearby. I saw it go down too. Talk about creepy!

I can't wait to hear about your part-time job.

Sorry that you had a bad dream. It is one thing when we wake up and feel fine because it was just a dream. It is an entirely different matter when the dream was lucid and realistic, and we are still upset once we awaken.

Hope the rest of your day was a warm fuzzy.
