Steven was here for two days. It was wonderful. We had some great talks and some great cuddling. I took a "sick day" Friday to stay home with him, and we were able to spend the whole morning lounging and snuggling. Alone. That doesn't happen very often for us.
Then we went out for a long, leisurely lunch at Olive Garden. I love that place. And the conversation was so good. We picked up the boys from school and he was so sweet, he took them through the drive-through of the local ice cream place to get a treat. Then he went with me to work the gate at the high school football game. I know it wasn't much fun for him at first, but he warmed up to it. It was great to introduce him to some of my friends, and we had a good time. On the way home, we stopped by for some wine and I got some of these great Kahlua Chocolate Lattes. I had 2 of them and I got a little tipsy. Everything was really, really funny, and I kept thinking I was going to fall off the bed. But we had fun.
Today we slept late, went to lunch, and then he left for Illinois to see his daughter for the rest of the weekend. Tomorrow is her birthday.
I can't believe how much I love this guy, or how good I feel. Hopefully, he will be back next weekend.
Big smiley faces,
