You are not going to believe what happened tonight. I have the absolute BEST news! Tonight was the Scholarship Ceremony at Joseph's high school. A student only attends by invitation, and Joseph and I were invited.
HE GOT A SCHOLARSHIP!!!!! $2000 A YEAR FOR ALL FOUR YEARS!!!! A TOTAL OF $8000!
(can you tell I'm excited?)
Yes, that's right, folks. My son now has his annual tuition covered by his student loan and his scholarship. My son can now actually afford to go to college! I was in tears. This means so much to our family, to me, to him. The first picture is of Joseph and his good friend Sarah. He has been in school with her since kindergarten. She got the same scholarship (they gave 4). The second is him and the 3 other winners with the two presenters.
Okay, I'm tired. It's been a long day. But I can go to bed with one less worry on my mind.

Great job Joseph! Way to go!
That's some awesome news.
That's awesome - congratulations!
That is fantastic news. Joseph got all his "smarts" from his Dad .. right? ;-)
That's outstanding news. Good for you ... and Joseph!!!
Hooray! Great work Joseph on qualifying for a scholarship.
Great work HG on raising such an excellent son.
J - Having Joseph's college expenses covered has to be an enormous load off your mind.
Joseph has obviously earned every penny of his scholarship award.
Congratulations to him and you. Your personal commitment to educating others is a fine example to Joseph.
e.craig is jealous of you because his grandkids did not inherit their smarts from him. Other of us here, with maybe the exception of coffeypot, know that Joseph gets his smarts from you.
Congrats Joseph!
Job well done. Job well done on both his and his mother's part.
Uhh, yes Joseph would not be where he's at, if it weren't for J.
Whoo Hoo, you rock Gurl!
Thanks everybody. E.Craig, you will PAY for that one!(evil grin) Just watch out. The whole world knows where my kids get their smarts, their talents AND their good looks: their absolutely rocking mom!!
Thank you, sweetie, for your loving words!
