Manic Monday and other stuff

Manic Monday for May 5, 2008
What name would you want have if you were the opposite sex? Gosh, I don't know. Something basic but interesting. I've always liked "Alexander" or "Alex", which is Aaron's middle name. I also like "Christopher", which is Daniel's middle name.

Would you share the tooth brush of your spouse/significant other? Why or why not? Not unless it was an absolute emergency. I know it doesn't make sense, when you think of what kissing entails, but I just don't think I want to share my toothbrush. And I know Steven agrees with me, so we're safe there.

What is a song that you love to hate? Anything from Michael Jackson's Thriller. I LOVE all those songs from my college days, but I just can't stand Michael Jackson.

In other news, I had a terrific weekend with Steven. All of my kids went with their dad Friday night to Indianapolis to help celebrate their grandmother's 70th birthday, so I was "kid free" until Sunday at 6. So as soon as they hit the road, so did I. Steven's closest point to me was Gary, Indiana, which is about a 4 1/2 hour drive from here. I arrived late Friday night. We had all day Saturday, which included Chicago-style pizza and a drive into Chicago. We even took a quick walk around the Navy Pier, which is beautiful at night. We had brunch together and I headed back here, arriving home just before the kids did. I have lots of pictures to share.

Have a great Monday, all.

J.

If somebody else used my toothbrush I would just give it to them. No way I would share.

I had no idea you'd be in Chicago this past weekend. How do you like my city? It's busy, but it's perfect for me.

I hope you had fun.

Jay - Steven says he loves me, but won't share his toothbrush with me. I just don't get it.

Eatmisery - Eeek! I forgot you were in Chicago. Actually, I didn't know I was going to be there myself until Thursday. I have been to Chicago many times, but not for awhile. I love it there! The downtown buildings are a little overwhelming for a hick like me. And we loved the Navy Pier!

A stop in Gary deserves a drive into Chicago. Nice romantic weekend. Good for you. :-)

I wouldn't want to share my toothbrush either. No way. I know it doesn't make sense, but still...

I am glad you had a good time in Chicago. I love that city!
