10 Ways Texas is Terrific:
- Bluebonnets.
- Cactus.
- Tex-Mex food.
- Highways that look like something out of the Jetsons!
- Starry skies.
- Cowboy/ cowgirl hats
- Real leather items (like the cool but expensive purses and cell phone cases I saw).
- Weird trees.
- Wrought-iron stars.
- Country music is appreciated.
Pictures and more tomorrow.

Don't you have leather in Indiana?
"Highways that look like something out of the Jetsons!"
Oh you mean Scenic Baron Wasteland heh heh. I do love the Desert though especially at night.
You have experienced Texas culture.
Everything is bigger in Texas.
The state's name derives from táysha, a word in the Caddoan (Native American) language, which means "friends" or "allies".
York - Yes, silly, we do have leather in Indiana, but the handmade leather purses and belts and cell phone holders with silver or turquoise seemed to be everywhere down there. And it was beautiful, but expensive. Maybe next time.
Truckindog - I didn't really get to the desert. I'm talking about the 4 levels of highways criss-crossing over each other, going 6 different directions. I've never seen anything like it!
Brother Dave - I was only actually IN Texas for 3 days, but it was quite an experience. I can't wait to go back!
E.Craig - I would believe that. Everyone was really friendly.
