Manic Monday (or very late Sunday night)

It's Monday
Ugh! Is it Monday again already? Last Monday I was soaking up the sun in Texas with Steven! Now, it's back to work in the cold and the rain.

Manic Monday for April 14, 2007:

Is there anything for which you would willingly give your life? My kids. No questions asked.

How would you communicate with someone if you didn't share a common language? This one is easy, since last fall I had a 13 yr. old French girl living in my house who spoke very little English. I would use freetranslation.com. But, if I didn't have a computer handy, I'm pretty good at drawing pictures and hand gestures.

Where is your ideal place/location to have a wedding? I have two very different answers for this. If I ever got married again, I think a quiet, private ceremony in a beautiful church, with candles all around sounds perfect. But I also would love to get married outdoors: under some trees or on a beach. I guess it will all depend on if and when and who.
Hope your Monday is NOT manic!
J.

That's awesome that you hosted a French girl. I am assuming it was an exchange program? I hope that I can do that too, someday.

Have a great week!

If you're trying to communicate with someone who speaks a different language, just speak really slowly and VERY LOUDLY. That usually works. ;-)

Thanks all! I can't blog from work (probably a good thing) and I don't have time this morning, but I will visit you all when I get back here tonight!

Number one's answer is mine too! Sometimes that involves some very difficult decisions - as you well know. Struggling with a few now...

You'd give your life for me, though, too, right?

Right?

Laurie - Yes, it was an exchange. She was here with us for 10 days in October, then my 16 yr. old daughter got to go stay with her in Paris just last month. She had a great time!

Shannon - Thanks for stopping by.

Amanda - I think almost any good parent would answer the same.

Tookie - Yes, it WAS interesting. She was really shy and sweet. You should have seen it when we took her to the grocery store! That was a trip!

Jay - Is it any wonder you're still single? (sticking out my tongue)

Picturing of Life - Yes, I agree. I will visit your site.

Kristin - Thanks for the compliment. Come back any time.

Sayre - Having kids means difficult decisions every day, doesn't it?

Mr.Fab - Uh...sure. Of course.

Mommy of 2 girlz - Thanks! Happy MM to you, too!

Serena - Thanks! I will check yours out, too.

Laane - Thanks for coming back again. I have bookmarked you.

I'd love to host a foreign student for a few weeks. And most especially, that my kids ever get to do the same.

I will have to wait until I get a bigger house, though.

Hope you had a happy Manic Monday!
