Ten on Tuesday.....

Ten Reasons I Like My New Job:
  1. No one has bitten me in 2 whole days.

  2. Less papers to grade.

  3. No one has kicked me in 2 days.

  4. 2nd and 3rd graders who love me.

  5. No one has scratched me in 2 days.

  6. No outside bus duty (I now have hallway duty).

  7. No one has hit me in 2 days.

  8. The worst discipline problem I have had is a kid who talks too much. No, really.

  9. The only person I have had to "hold" is Steven.

  10. I have left school both days more relaxed and in a good mood.

Yep, so far, so good. Happy Tuesday.

J.

But didn't all those bites, kicks, hits and scratches help make the day go faster? ...just kidding

Congratulations on a job well earned.

I wouldn't put up with that!

Oh wait.

*Reads the post again.*

Hey! That's awesome!

You deserve a break from all that junk.

Bitten , Kicked , Scratched , Hit

Kids can be little mean asses huh.

Steven didn't really need to be held he just LIKES YOU.

Keep up the good work.

I'm glad you are enjoying work again. Just to know you are going to work without looking forward to being bitten, scratched or kicked is great, but it is enough for me to never even drive by a school. I know they are special kids, but damn...

Now if you could stop having to hold Steven.

Oh wait… you are obviously happy about that arrangement.

Such wonderfully improved work conditions.

Phew! Your new job sounds so much better and so much LESS stressful!

"Holding" Steven... as in keeping him under control, holding him down, or just being close???? *wink*

Craig -

No.

Jay - Yes, I do deserve a break. And I am ENjoying it.

Trukindog -

I am starting to notice that he seems to act up on purpose right before bedtime.....

Coffeypot - Yes, I am cautiously optimistic about work these days.

Brother Dave -

Yes, I DO enjoy holding him. (smile)

C.Flake - Thanks. It feels so much better.

RWA - Yes, it is. Thanks.

Sayre - Well, at work a "hold" was to keep someone under control. Here at home....I just hold on to him to keep him here as long as possible. I have seriously considered letting the air out of the trailer tires.....(grin)

I was feeling pretty good about all the holding going on in my life; but now I'm starting to worry about all these holding comments.

Yes, I like to be held. (but only by J.)
No, I don't like to be held captive. (except by J.)
Pleez don't mess with my $3500.00 tires. Or even my other $3500 tires.

I hate my job! $7K in tires alone. I get rather depressed when I look at my tires in that kind of light.

J, I need you to hold me (and my tires) very close. A half nelson should do the trick!

Har Har.......................
