Days 24 AND 25 - How I Spent My Thanksgiving Vacation

Wow! This has been a full and fun weekend! And, yes, I missed my post yesterday (hanging head). Forgive me, fellow bloggers. Let me tell you all about my wonderful weekend!

Day 22 - Friday:

As I said before, I got up with Joseph very early Friday morning to hit the early morning sales at the mall. What I didn't say is that it was a focused attack....we were in to American Eagle, Hollister, and Aeropostale....and out! The Radio Shack stop was on the way out. We were back home by 6:30 and I went back to bed. Anyway, the big event of the day was the "Light Up Louisville" parade at 4. Luckily for me, Steven made it to Louisville by 2, so I was able to pick him up and he went with me. Poor guy had to meet my parents, but he survived. These are some pictures of the "Madeline" girls lining up. The day ended with a very romantic dinner with Steven at a restaurant by the river.

Day 23 - Saturday:

I slept late Saturday morning, having stayed out very late with Steven the night before. Rachael had to be at rehearsal for "Madeline's Christmas" at 11, so we staggered out of bed just in time. This was the only time parents were allowed to take pictures of the cast. Here are 2 of the pictures I took with my phone. I took more with my regular camera.

I can honestly tell you that I spent the rest of the day with Steven. We had a long lunch, went shopping ( he bought me some Manheim Steamroller Christmas CDs), sat in the car talking for hours, went browsing at Borders, and finally ended with dinner at Hard Rock Cafe. It was really fun!

Day 24 - Sunday:
Steven had to leave very early this morning for a run to Florida.
Since then, I've gone to see Rachael's cast do a run-through (she was excellent!), taken a nap, picked up Joseph from work, and worked on lesson plans. The two younger boys will be home from their dad's at 7. Tomorrow I have to go back to work. (groan!)

Hope you all had a great weekend, too.
J.

Well, you did have a full weekend. It all sounds super.

I hear that Steven said, "I never promised I would take you to Florida, I said I was gonna Tampa with you."

;-)

Brother Dave - I am totally rolling my eyes and groaning at that terrible pun! I will let him "tampa" with me any time! (smile)

Haven't heard that hoary joke for some time. Happy to hear you had a great holiday.

I'm glad you had a wonderful time. You deserve it (yes, you do). I was in Houston where it rained very hard on Saturday, making it a perfect day to sit around and just visit and rest.
