Just a quickie...

I am sooooo tired.
This has been the longest week.

I'm off to a fun, fun, fun Tiger Cubs outing. I don't want to go - it's cold and windy, I'm tired, I've been sneezing.....But Aaron wants to go. Okay. (groaning)

Updates:
My student who was hospitalized is coming back tomorrow. Should be interesting. AND I get a new student on Monday. Ugh. This brings me to 8, so I'm full. Monday should be a mess.

We had an "Intruder" drill today. Luckily, the administration gave me the heads up 5 minutes prior so I had time to get them from music class. I had begged her to tell me.....a couple of my students can't handle fire drills, much less this. We had already practiced and practiced, and talked about how it has NEVER happened in our school, or even in our city. Our drill consists of this: an announcement to go to "Level 5 lockdown". I lock the classroom door and turn off the lights. The kids go to the corner you can't been seen in from the door. While they're hiding, I put a green or red paper under the door and one on the window, green meaning no injuries, red meaning injury. I am to write the number of people in the room on the papers. My kids did really well, but it always shakes them up. Ueven lied to them and told them the glass in the windows and the doors is bullet-proof. Yeah, I know, but they're 6 and 7 years old.

I got my tax check today. Yahoo. That money should last all of about 2 days. Seriously, I have to pay tuition at both schools, and pay back my parents. After that I'll have about $2oo left. Maybe I can still get that Ipod I've been wanting. Or at least go hunting for gourmet coffee beans.......

I got a package in the mail today. Burned copies of 2 CDs I had been wanting, before the break up. I haven't listened to them yet. Not sure if I will. (sigh)

Only 2 days until "Thunder over Louisville", the world's largest fireworks show. I can't wait. The weather is supposed to be great.

Catch you on the flip side.

Haven't received my tax check yet. I'm getting back good and X is paying. Mostly because she didn't take out enough and I took out way too much. So why did I feel guilty and help pay her tax bill? When I get mine, it all goes to debt. yippie- sic Glad you have some left over. :)

Definitely go for the iPod over the coffee beans. No contest there!

Why do you guys have a fireworks show in April?

Jay,
I can't believe you asked that question!

It's the kickoff to the Derby festival!

Derby? As in horses? I probably sound stupid here, but you'd sound stupid to me if you asked about the Grunt Festival... It's a matter of geography, I'm sure.
