Life is just a circus......

Last Sunday Baron and I took some of our kids to the circus! 3 of our teens "opted out" (and I think my 12 yr. old and Baron's 16 yr. old wished a couple of times that they had as well). We took our 7 yr. olds (mine and his), my son Daniel, and his middle daughter, K. Here are a few of the highlights....

Aaron and A., waiting excitedly for the circus to begin!!!

A real, live, stinky elephant made his (?) entrance at a gate near our seats. We got to look at him (her?) up close!

The crowded arena during intermission, when they sold pony rides and elephant rides! We didn't partake of those activities, but instead amused ourselves in different ways......

Like sitting on the edge of the rail, looking at all the overpriced souvenirs and playing with expensive light-up swords!

Here Daniel demonstrates his imitation of Steve Martin's arrow trick.....

Aaron and A. play "sword fight" in front of a giant steel ball cage that held up to 6 motorcyles doing tricks! It was the last act of the circus and easily the coolest!

I think this is the cute little dogs doing tricks, or it might be the funny little monkeys...but it's hard to tell from so far away.

This is DEFINITELY the elephants! They were good!

All in all, not TOO expensive, and definitely fun for the little kids.

It's been years since I went to the Circus or the Zoo. Maybe I'll go in a couple of year from now. :)

Our last trip will be my last. When a bag of cotton candy costs $10, it's time to find the animal alternative. Darn, cuz it was kinda fun.
