Thursday 13

From "10 on Tuesday" to "Thursday 13"! Wow, I'm either completely uncreative or obsessed with lists. Probably a little of both. This post is completely inspired by Jay and his lack of committment!

13 reasons why I need to be out of school:
  1. I'm tired of 2 jobs. I'm just plain tired.
  2. I want to sleep in occasionally.
  3. My house needs work. (don't say a word, Steven, or else!)
  4. I am sick of some of the people I work with.
  5. I'm pretty sure some of them are sick of me.
  6. The kids at school are restless and bored.
  7. The kids at home are testy and rude (probably more a reason to stay IN).
  8. I really am not inspired to actually TEACH anything these days.
  9. I love summer.
  10. It's after Memorial Day. We should be done already. (Damn you, wind storm and ice storm)
  11. I really don't want to do Field Day (think: all day outside in the hot with a bunch of hot kids pretending to play "fun" outside games).
  12. I don't want to pack up my room.
  13. I don't wanna go to school anymore! (whining)

Why do YOU wish school was out? Or do you?

I'm ready for school to be out. Emotionally, that is. We don't have money for camps this year and we'll be juggling schedules, but the boy needs a break. He dug out his DANGEROUS BOOK FOR BOYS last night and is looking forward to a few projects!

I'm very inspiring. ;-)

I think school should be year round. Keep the annoying little shits in school and out of the malls and away from me when I'm out in town. haha

School IS out here! Guess that didn't help much, huh? But hey, I still have to go to work.

You need a vacation. If you had an extremely wonderful vacation to look forward to you would not mind packing up your room. Your mind would be on the upcoming fun.

So I won't have to crawl thru those damn school zones at 15 drag ass miles an hour!!! ;-)

Aww bless your heart! I agree with Brother Dave. You need a vacation!! You work way too hard. Does anyone notice? I mean besides your bill collectors! LOL I really wish you would set aside some time to do what makes YOU happy. You deserve it so much!!

Sayre - Is there such a thing as "The Dangerous Book for MOMS"? I could use one.

Jay - Yes, you ARE very inspiring. I could not do year-round school, although with all the stupid professional development they're making us do this summer, I might as well be in school all damn year.

Brother Dave - Can't afford a vacation. I'm hoping for a road trip with Steven. Maybe.

Sushiboy - I'm going to come visit you and Superwoman, okay?

T-dog - Well, that's a noble reason. How 'bout because your ol' friend Hoosier Girl is pooped?

Anonymous - Well, thanks but no thanks. Maybe next time.

Brother Dave - That's not a very nice thing to say to a lady!

Tookie - Thanks for caring but this is the way it has to be for awhile. Unless I win 2 round trip tickets to ANYWHERE. Then I'm outta here. (smile)

All my kids are grown but I'm glad I don't have to slow down for school zones for a while.

I'm with Jay, year round school seems like a good idea

Just Dave - I didn't know anyone actually slowed down in school zones...not the way they drive around HERE!!!

P.S.S. - Do you want me to be COMPLETELY INSANE? Thank God, year-round school is NOT a popular idea in Kentucky. No way, Jose, not me.

Anonymous - I said no and I meant no.

Yeah, I slow down. I got tired of peeling the little tykes off my grill.
